Located in the foothills of the Ozarks, this multi-colored work of ecclesiastical art was built in honor of Poland's Black Madonna, Our Lady of Czestochowa, and Queen of Peace and Mercy. It is made from Missouri tiff rock, seashells, rocks, and costume jewelry. This tranquil site is operated by the Franciscan missionary brothers as a "a place of peace, solitude and prayer." Meditate in the chapel, itself a marvelous work of art, or relax with a quiet picnic lunch in the pavilion. |
